This year you will not need to run to the mailbox to see if your 2009 economic stimulus rebate check has arrived. It will not be sent out as a separate mailing. If you are eligible for a rebate, it will be added to your refund. If you happen to owe money this year, it will be deducted from the amount you owe.

Good NewsIf you did receive a stimulus check last year, you do not have to pay it back and you do not have to claim it on your 2008 taxes! Now you may even have the possibility of getting more money. If you happened to be overpaid last year, guess what? No worries. The IRS says you can keep the cash without any tax ramifications.
